Safeton, Planting 2 (Starday), 585, late afternoon.

After the Village of Two Pines, the group travelled to the Flashing Blade Inn. The group arrived later in the evening, the place was nearly empty. After a meal and a drink, the group went to their rooms and all had a good night’s sleep.

The morning saw the group travelling To the Millbeard Burrow. The Family shield is a blue background, a red watch tower in the centre and a bear centred in front of the tower.

The burrow showed the signs of maintenance, but it was also showing signs of wear and weather. Inside, the party fought undead; mostly skeletons, a couple of ghouls, and a wight. The wight was identified as Uzalak Bendohr. The wight gear was brand new and well cared for. Even some of the undead had new gear.

The group searched the burrow and found a number of items but found no further secrets.

After a tough fight, they returned to the Flashing Blade Inn and rested for the night.

Safeton, Planting 3 (Starday), 585, late afternoon.

The party returned to the Flashing Blade inn, tired and spent, it was a long walk back after that intense fight. They had another quiet night and begin to travel up the road. Again they were back on the road first thing.

Vifil lead the group through The Silver Whisper Monoliths, an area that Vifle himself had never been through but he knew of it, never heard it was dangerous. Once the group was within 60 feet of the first standing stone they felt a strange hum from the area. The Ranger felt it as a calling, nature’s understanding, the others felt it as a strange static or hum. The stones were covered in runes, that spoke of ancient prayers to the Mother and the Sky. As the party started to investigate a troll showed up, demanding they leave his home! The party, split on what to do, chose to attack.

With the troll dead, the group raided his makeshift home:

  • 8 gp,
  • 14 sp,
  • 15 cp,
  • a pair of gloves stained with blood,
  • a pendant of stained glass,
  • some stale bread
  • a set of fine brushes (5 gp),
  • an iron spike (1 sp)
  • a carved bone whistle,
  • a whetstone (1 cp)

Pair of gloves stained with blood: Thabuli cleaned and mended the gloves. After a very successful History roll, the Bards deduced the leather gloves came from a local to Safeton, halfling leather worker, the shop was called Halfazzed. The halfling runs the shop with his wife. The name of the Halfling escaped the group. The leather goods the shop creates are all high quality, starting around 12 gp.

Pharum chose to eat the mouldy bread and failed a CON Save by more than 5. He was sick, with the runs and vomiting. This slowed the party down drastically, and they only managed to cover half the distance and arrived in an area Vifil was uncertain of, He had never been here.

The area showed old construction, ancient by the guess of the bards, a massive face or skull half hidden on the ground Pharum was suffering severe exhaustion due to the poisoning of the bad bread. The group settled in but decided a guard would be prudent.

The group was attacked by four ghosts. The guess is Guardian Ghosts or a form of Burrow Guardian. The creatures left nothing after they died.

When the party left off, they had just completed the first watch of the night.

The Annual Bav “Gathering of Lights”

Planting, Freeday, the 28th.

Every year the Bav family throws a large event, the event is dedicated to Pelor, it is open to all Nobles – it is bad form to exclude any of them, and let the local children see the “Stary Lane.” The Stary Lane is the main road that has been lit by the many noble families. Each Family adds an extravagant display along their front walls. The winner gets to Judge the following year. Donations are given to the local orphanages and the needy.

Vonhilga and Pharum have been asked to run the entertainment for this year even.
